Overview This lot contains (1) FGB Cargo Block. The item is classified in scrap condition. This is a space station training mockup that was originally built and segmented into forward, mid, and aft sections for ISS training purposes. The mockup has been repurposed multiple times over approximately 18 years for various training programs including asteroid training, gateway planning, and Artemis capsule training. The unit shows significant deterioration with most high-fidelity hardware replaced by low-fidelity volumetric outfitting. Specifications • Dimensions: 1025x139x159 • Shipping Weight: 2550 lb Key Features • Originally designed as a three-segment mockup (forward, mid, and aft sections) for International Space Station training. • Previously used for Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) training with Russian hardware placement during EVAs. • Repurposed for multiple training applications including asteroid missions, gateway planning, and lunar Artemis capsule training. • Constructed from stainless steel, Kydex, and PVC materials. • Includes supporting cradle structure weighing 750 lbs. • Features access hatches and mounting points visible on the exterior structure. Condition & Markings • This lot is in scrap condition. Parts are missing, and repairs are required. • Significant deterioration is present throughout the structure after years of training use. • Most original high-fidelity hardware has been removed or replaced with low-fidelity components. • The aft segment no longer represents original FGB outfitting due to repurposing for lunar training. • Various markings and labels are visible on the exterior surfaces. • The white exterior shows weathering, discoloration, and surface wear consistent with outdoor storage. • The supporting cradle structure shows rust and corrosion on metal components. • Multiple access panels and hatches are present but condition varies throughout the structure. Inspection and Removal • Inspection and Removal: Available Monday through Friday, by confirmed appointment only. The site is closed on federal holidays.
