In New Mexico: New Mexico's state Property Tax Division conducts tax deed auctions for each county on a rotating schedule, selling the property outright to the highest bidder. Counties do not sell lien certificates. There is no redemption period after the sale; the owner must pay before the auction, although a deed can be challenged in court for a limited time afterward.
